Omni thread is the cleaner, brighter, and stronger alternative to other poly-wrapped poly core threads. It is a strong Tex 30 (approximately 40 weight) thread and was designed for machine quilting on a longarm quilting machine. This machine quilting thread can also be used for other sewing and serging purposes including clothing construction and machine sewing. It looks and feels like cotton, but since it is a polyester thread it is much stronger than regular cotton thread. Its strength makes Omni a great beginner thread for longarm quilters.
Recommended Needle and Tension Settings:
- Home Machines: Topstitch #90/14. Set tension to 4.0-5.0
- Longarm Machines: #18 (MR 4.0)
